3D A Trip to India



-We reviewed some travel vocabulary and we did a listening on Delhi and some T/F  activities as follow up.
-The grammar point was asking for and making recommendations and students practiced the activities on pages 30-31 while describing their home city or town. We also focused on intonation.
-After the break we practiced giving and receiving recommendations with Justin.
Homework:  write a composition giving a friend recommendations on what to do and what not to do while visiting your favourite place.

3A, Thursday's class

On Thursday we finished unit 3A.
-we revised some phrasal verbs in small group doing an oral activity
-we corrected "help with grammar" page 25
-we practiced entonation and the differences in pronunciation when using the PPS(Present Perfect Simple) and the PS (Past Simple).

Lesson 3A (Tuesday 17th November 2009)

In the one hour session before Justin came to our class we started by listening again to Roxana Saberi's text and correcting the questions.
Then we had a taste of phrasal verbs with the first page of unit 3 where students did activities 1 and 2 including the listening by Sam and Cintia.
Homework: help with grammar unit 3A.
